Agreed with the "no". A bad battery connection or bad connection elsewhere can cause idle problems. One of the basic maintenance / troubleshooting things to do on these cars is to clean ALL of the electrical connections. This should include the battery terminals and make sure the sub-system power wire coming off of the battery is clean and in good condition. If your battery cables are original, or over 10 years old, replacing them couldn't hurt. If it is an electrical problem causing your idle issues, you could check the power supply to the ECU and other components to see if the voltage is low, ie: if you don't have a full 12v going to the ECU, injectors, coipacks, etc... you will have performance problems. Alternator harness and ground connections are equally important. Bottom line...... if you have 12v power going to everywhere it needs to go, it's not likely an electrical problem.
